Dear Ms. Shore,

On behalf of all of us at Zoo New England, I would like to thank you for your participation in our third annual A Wild Affair and for your in-kind donation of a gift certificate which you valued at $25.

This year’s event was an unprecedented uccess and, with your support, raised over $40,000 to directly benefit Stone Zoo.  Over 600 people attended the event, and despite some rain showers, had a woerful time sampling food from the 18 restaurants, bakeries and caterers that generously gave their time and resources.  In addition we received very strong support from hundreds of individuals and businesses in the community who purchased record numbers of program book advertisements and donated a wide array of auction and raffle items.

A Wild Affair and the resources it generates play a major role in the success of Stone Zoo.  Last year the funds from A Wild Affair were usd to make the Birds of Prey show free to all Zoo guests, greatly increasing the viewership of this spectacular program.  With the opening of our new meerkat exhibit, Stone Zoo is growing and changing and your generosity and support forms the foundation for this and other new initiatives.

We’re looking forward to an exciting fall and winter at the Zoo.  On Saturday, October 20th and Sunday, October 21st we will be hoding our Boo at the Zoo even in celebration of Halloween.  Preparations are also underway for ne of Stone Zoo’s most beloved traditions, ZooLights, which will be open every evening from November 23rd to December 30th.  We hope to see you at these events or any other time you are able to visit.

Once again, we would like to thank you for participating in a Wild Affair and - most imporantly - for being part of the Stone Zoo community.

Sincerely,

John Linehan, President & CEO
