Dear Ms. Shore:

We received your donation of a gift certificate, valued at $25.00, in support of “On the Town - A Night OUt with Old Colony Hospice.” Our success depends upon the generosity of good friends like you who believe in our mission and we want you to know how much we appreciate your support.

On November 8th, guests will enjoy a very worthwhile & fun evening “On the Town” - live music, wine tasting, scrumptious appetizers with a bistro flair, dessert, casino gaming tables (for non-cash prices), and a terrific silent auction (where your donation will come in to help us) are just a few of the things we have in the store.  There are terrific raffles too - trips, cash and lottery tickets.  This event has something for everyone.

Old Colony Hospice provides highly skilled, compassionate care to 100-110 patients and support to their loved ones.  Patients receive care at home or in a skilled nursing facility in 36 cities and towns in Bristol, Norfolk and Plymouth counties.  Donations to our non-profit organization ensure that patients receive the pain medications they need, home health services, and access to equipment such as a hospital bed and many other items to ensure their comfort during end of life care.  The support of organizations like yours makes an impact in the life of a patient today.

Sincerely,

Linda Werman, Development Manager

Dear Ms. Shore:

On behalf of the YMCA of Greater Nashua, thank you very much for your donation of two $25 gift certificates to Bernie & Phyl’s Furniture for our Fifth Annual Charity Auction and Dinner.  This year’s event will take place on Friday, November 16, 2007 at the Sky Meadow Country Club in Nashua.

Dear Friends,

We would like to thank you - our sponsors, donors, participants, and volunteers - for contributing to the outstanding success fo the tenth annual Brian D. Silber Memorial Golf Tournament.  With your support we raised over $95,000 for Brian’s Fund, bringing our total of giving to the Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) to $1,100,000!  We are grateful to you for your support and generosity in the challenging endeavor of understanding and overcoming spinal cord tumors.

The money that we have raised to date for the MGH has been critical in establisihing and supporting the Brian D. Silber Spine Tumor Clinic.  The Clinic is committed to high quality patient care, innovative research, and effective educational programs.  Thanks to Brian’s Fund much has been achieved at the Clinic, including novel research on the molecular genetics of astrocytomas, an annual lectureship series, and purchase of state-of-the-art clinical equipement that has led to improved patient outcomes.  Updates about the Clinic can be found at http://spinetumorcenter.mgh.harvard.edu/.  Our goal is to provide the funds to continue this important work with the hope that one day there will be a cure for spinal cord tumors.

Plans are underway for the eleventh annual Brain D. Silber Memorial Gold Tournament which will take place on Wednesday, July 16, 2008, at The Meadow at Peabody, with the dinner reception following at the Hilltop Steak House.  We hope that we can count on you again to participate in this special event.

Thank you for making this year’s tournament a succsss and for your camaraderie, loyalth, and support.  Working together we can truly make a difference in teh lives of spine tumore patients and their families.

We are so grateful for your continued donations to the Brockton Area Deparment of Social Services Citizen’s Board Annual Golf Tournament.

We are extremely fortunate to have the support of our friends in the community.

Thanks to our sponsors, players, and all thsoe who purchased raffle tickets, we raised over $7,000.00.

This year we awarded a $500.00 scholarship to four wonderful young adults which will enable them to go onto college.  These young people have over overcome many hardships.  Their resilience is inspiring.  Your contribution will help them accomplish their goals.

Your donation supports our efforts serving the children and families in our area.  This fall, we will be hosting a Fall Fun Fest for the foster families.  In December, there will be a wonderful holiday party and in May, a much deserved foster parent appreciation banquet.  Thse events will not be possible without the funds raised at this event.  Your generosity truly makes a difference.
