Dear Naomi,

On behalf of everyone at Charles River Arc, we want to thank you for your generous contribution of a $50 gift certifcate for our 12th annual Building a Dream benefit gala, held on May 2, 2007 at the Park Plaza Hotel in Boston.  Thanks to your generosity, Charles River Arc was able to raise $175,000, making this our best gala yet!

We were honored to present The SaGerson Humanitarian Award to Dick and Rick Hoyt, the well-known father and son Boston Marathon team.  With a “Yes You Can” moto, they help us demonstrate that all individuals, regardless of limitations, can be included in the workplace, school, and sports.  We were inspired by their heartwarming remarks and we are grateful for the barriers that they have been able to eliminiate so that each and every person can be included in all aspects of community life.

We were also pleased to recognize Bridget Robinson of Natick for demonstrating what an individual can achieve, givn the opportunity.  Bridget is a program participant of our Therapeutic Day and Community Living programs.  Walking independently for the first time at age twenty-two, Dan Rea, Reporter of WBZ-TV and longtime human-service advocate, presented Bridget with the Lifetime Achievement Aard for her perseverance, spirit, and amazing accomplishments.

Thank you again for supporting our fund-raising efforts.  Your contribution truly keeps Charles River Arc unsurpassed in its leadership of providing vital services for children and adults with develpmental disabilities.

With sincere appreciation,

John Grugan

Dear Friend,

Thank you so much for your recent donation fo a $25 gift certificate to our “High Tea for Hospice.” The day was a wonderful success for Old olony Hospice and for the communities we serve.

The $21,000 raised from events such as “High Tea” enables us to provide services to patients whose medical costs exced their bnefits.  Equally important, of course, is raising awareness of who we are and what we do within our area.  Each day OCH cares for 80-95 patients and their families.

We are grateful to you for your valuable contribution, and we feel honored to include you as a member of our extended Old Colony Hospice family.

Sincerely yours,

Roberta Straus
