“I thank you from the bottom of my heart.”

Dear Naomi,

On Monday, October 16th, SMOC closed the Common Ground Shelter in downtown Framingham.  All 29 guests of the shelter were placed in supported housing, each attaiing a room of their own.  This was the first phase of SMOC’s three-phase plan to end single adult homelessness in the Metrowest area.

Our ability t accomplish ending homelessness is dependent upon funding from Federal, State and private sources.  All the money raised at our Fifth Annual Golf Tournament is being used to provide a homeless single adult with a home of their own.

For participating in our Golf Tournament and contributing generously, I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Sincerely,

James T. Cuddy

Bernie & Phyl’s - thank you for assisting in making this event a success!

Dear Golf Tournament Donator:

I want to thank you for your generous donation to the Brockton Area Department of Social Services Citizen’s Board Annual Golf Tournament.

We are extremely fortunate to have the support of our friends in the community.

Thanks to our sponsors, players, and all those who purchased raffle tickets, we raised over $5,000.00.

Additionally, a $500.00 scholarship was awarded to two wonderful young women which will enable them to go onto college.

This is our major fundraiser and your donation supports our efforts serving the children and families in our area.  This fall, we will be hosting a Fall Fun Fest for the foster families.  In December, there will be a wonderful holiday party and in May, a much deserved foster parent appreciation banquet.  These events will not be possible without your support.

Again, thank you for assisting in making this event a success!

Sincerely,

Christina M. Joyce
Area Director
