Dear Rotary Club Supporter:

Thank you very much for support of the 2006 Rotary Club of Taunton Radio and Cable TV Charity Auction.  I am pleased to tell you that the club raised close to $6,00.  These funds will go toward supporting the many important charity and deserving organization in our community.

Your donation of the Gift Certificate along with close to one hundred other auction items caught the interest of the viewers and listeners.  In addition the members of the club enjoyed putting on the event on November 30.  Hopefully you had a chance to watch the auction on channel 9 in Taunton, listen to it on WPEP, or view it on our website tauntonrotary.org. If you did, I’m sure you had a chuckle watching amateurs trying to run this type of production.

I would like you to know that several organizations in addition to those who donated auction items supported the auction and enabled us to make it happen.  The Superintendent of the Taunton School system, Dr. Arthur Stellar allowed us to use the School Committee Space and the cable TV facilities.  Dave and Steve May from Quality Connections set up a telephone bank over the internet to make and receive phone calls.  Jack Leddy from Davol-Taunton printing created and printed flyers that were inserted in to Taunton Gazette.  John Sheilds, publisher of the Taunton Gazette, put the flyers into the newspaper twice along with running a story about the auction on the front page.

Its folks like you that make this a great community in which to live and work again I thank you.

Sincerely,

Joseph W. Mitchell, Jr.

On behalf of the Organization for a New Equality (O-N-E) we would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Bernie & Phyl’s Furniture for your contribution to the silent auction at our annual Medal of Hope Dinner.  Your donation of a Gift Certificat valued at $50.00, was auctioned off for $40.00.  This year’s silent auction raised a total of $5,410.00, which in turn allows O-N-E to provide financial education and asset building programs to individuals and families across the nation.

Norton, MA 02766

Dear Ms. Shore,

On behalf of the Westborough Interfaith Clergy Association, we thank you for your generous support of this year’s Thanksgiving Dinner for Senior Citizens.  The event celebrated community at its very best.

Volunteers prepared a traditional turkey dinner at the Knights of Columbus hall for 60 seniors who might otherwise have spent Thanksgiving alone. An additional 30 meals were provided to the host families who served the seniors and visited with them.  Sixty-two local seniours also received a hot meal delivered directly to their homes.  The facility was beautifully decorated and we had a wide variety of delicious homemade desserts.  A talented group of student musicians from Westborough High School entertained.  It was a wonderful day.

Your charitable contribution is much appreciated.  your generosity was acknowledged in the event program and will be in subsequent local newspaper articles.

We hope you will be inspired to support this dinner again next year so that we may continue to share in teh bounty of the season together again.

Sincerely,

Bobbi Feinblatt, Coordinator
