Dear Naomi,

Thank you for the donation of the $25 gift card for the Smiling Kids Annual Birthday Bash on October 22, 2005 at the Weston Golf Club. We are pleased to report that due to the generosity of so many; the evening was a great success. The Annual Birthday Bash raised over $74,000, which exceeded our goal.

100% of the money raised will be used to fund our Birthday Smiles program that will provide birthday presents to more than 2,000 children and teens in need throughout Massachusetts in 2006. Thanks to separate private contributions, all of the event and general operating costs for Smiling Kids Inc. are entirely subsidized.

Smiling Kids, Inc is an anonymous organization. The agencies and social service groups that we work with are responsible for identifying and delivering the birthday gifts to the families. The gift that o child receives comes from the parent or guardian; therefore, making Smiling Kids, Inca service as much for the parent as it is for the child.

We look forward to the opportunity to work with you next year. If you are interested in discovering other ways you and/or your organization can help these children please contact us at #508-486-9299 or visit us on the web at http://www.smilin~kidsinc.org.

Dear Naomi:

Refugee Immigration Ministry thanks you sincerely for your $50.00 give certificate towards the purchase of furniture, which will be entered into our Silent Auction at the RIM International Dinner on November 19, 2005. All proceeds from this event are used to support our refugee clients, many of whom are now successfully settled into their own homes and others who will be purchasing furniture when they become self-supporting in the near future.

Our objective in our work with refugees is to bring them to a point of full self- sufficiency, and we make a point of informing them of Bernie and Phyl’s support of RIM and recommend they visit your stores when they are ready to purchase furniture for their new homes In this way we can show our appreciation of your support and hopefully bring new customers into your stores.

Dear Naomi,

On behalf of all of us at Zoo New England, I would like to thank you for your participation in A Wild Affair: The Stone Zoo Centennial Celebration, and for your donation of a $50 gift certificate to Bernie and Phyl’s Furniture to our silent auction.

Thanks to friends like you, A Wild Affair raised over $30,000, which will directly benefit the many vital programs at Stone Zoo - from conservation and education, to the care of our animals. As well, your contribution will ensure that Stone Zoo can continue to provide fun, safe and enlightening experiences for visitors.

A Wild Affair exceeded our wildest expectations - not only marking Stone Zoo’s 100″ year with an evening as unique and fun as the Zoo itself but also generating a tremendous outpouring of support. With 16 fabulous restaurants participating, dozens of local businesses and individuals donating silent auction

items and more than 500 tickets sold. this was truly a success - a success made by your support, as well as the extraordinary efforts of everyone in our community who joined you in contributing to A Wild Affair.

In fact, given the enthusiastic response, we have decided to make it an annual event!

Once again, we would like to thank you for participating in A Wild Affair and - most importantly - for being part of the Stone Zoo community. We look forward to working with you to make the next hundred years of Stone Zoo even more memorable than the first.

We hope to see you often in the coming year, and - of course - hope that you will join us again next fall for A Wild Affair 2006.

Sincerely,

Dear Ms. Shore,

On behalf of the Children’s Advocacy Center of Suffolk County, I would like to thank you and Bernie & Phyl’s for your generous donation of an ottoman, sofa and coffee table. The furniture now adorns our child and teen waiting room and teen interview room, and has helped to transform the space into a welcoming, comfortable place for the teens and families we serve.

In our new, larger space in the Family Justice Center of Boston, we will offer expanded, coordinated services from legal, medical, social service, mental health and advocacy professionals -all under one roof.

We are excited to be expanding both our physical space and our services to children and families in need. Thank you and Bernie & Phyl’s for your support and generosity. I hope that you will have the opportunity to visit us!

Chestnut Hill, MA 02467

Dear Ms. Shore:

Special thanks to you for donating a gift certificate valued at $25.00. This gift will be a terrific auction item at this year’s “Friends of Hospice” Annual Gala.

The theme for this year’s event will celebrate the founding of Old Colony Hospice twenty-six years ago -we are so proud of that. We plan another very worthwhile evening - scrumptious dining, auction of a few select items and dancing a1 the Blue Hill Country Club in Canton on October 21,2005.

Honoring some special supporters and enjoying the message of Dr. Ned Cassem, a colleague of the founder of the hospice movement in our country, plus our guest celebrity, Harvey Leonard, WCVB-TV Meteorologist, will complete our event!

As a supporter, Bernie & Phyl’s Furniture will be promoted in our program book for the event and will be listed in the 2006 Report of Gifts.

Since 1979, Old Colony Hospice has provided compassionate, expert medical care and programs that focus on body, mind, and spirit - with an understanding that serious illness profoundly impacts the patient as well as family and friends. Teams of health care professionals will serve 80-95 patients each day, plus their families, regardless of their ability to pay. This makes it critically important for us to raise money through sponsorships.

Thanks for your role in our evening –

Marilyn A. Jackson
Director of Development/Marketing
