Dear Naomi:

Thank you for your generous support of The Wellness Community’s Annual Fall Gala, Denim & Diamonds. We are delighted you were able to donate a gift certificate. Your donation helped us raise money to ensure that The Wellness Community will be here whenever someone hears the words “you have cancer.”

The Wellness Community is a place where no one faces cancer alone. We bring people together to share their stories and to take an active role in their recovery. Our support groups, educational programs, mind/body classes, creative activities and social events promote well-being and instill hope. Thanks to donors like you, ail Wellness Community services are provided free of charge.

During the past three years The Wellness Community has experienced unprecedented growth, including the opening of a program at the Dimock Community Health Center in Roxbury. Thank you for making this possible and for making a difference in the lives of thousands of families affected by cancer.

Sincerely,

Kathy Cronin

Bernie & Phyl’s contributes to Norton Athletic Fields Fundraiser

Norton, MA 02766

Dear Bernie & Phyl’s:

On behalf of the Norton Athletic Complex Committee, I wish to thank you for your very generous donation of a $25 Gift Certificate. Your donation was raffled off at our Silent Auction during our Gillette Stadium Fundraiser on November 13th, 2005. Thank you for supporting our efforts. Our Girl’s Fast Pitch Softball Field is complete, permanent lights have been installed to the Varsity Football Field, and the Varsity Baseball Field has received new sod and irrigation wells.

We still need to renovate the Junior Varsity Field and the practice fields, provide bleachers for all fields, reconstruct the high school track, and install lights to both the Varsity Baseball Field and the Softball Field. Your donation will help enable the youth of Norton to utilize a first rate athletic facility. We are hopeful, that through your effort, and that of others, our “Field of Dreams” will become a reality.

Thank you again for your very generous support.

Veteran’s Day Tribute to the Troops

Your donation of gift certificates really helped

Dear Naomi,

THANK YOU!!!!

We now plan to distribute close to 50 scholarships of $500 each to Massachusetts’ service members. Your donation of gift certificates really helped. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for all your hard work and your generous donations. The numbers speak for themselves. The proceeds are well over our anticipated goals.

As I said on Veteran’s Day Friday November 11th at the Tribute to the Troops Event at Florian Hall in Dorchester, this event was not about the war, either for or against the war, but rather it was about our Service Members, their families, and their education needs.

Our success cannot be attributed to any one person or organization. It was the combination of many special people - either in a group or individually - working collectively toward a common goal of raising funds for service members and their families for their educational goals. The effort started over 3 months ago and really paid off.

One Service Member, Specialist Brendan J. Murphy of Dorchester (my brother), was able to express his appreciation of all our efforts through a live telephone call from Iraq to a crowd of over 400 hundred during the event. Brendan thanked all for sending packages and supporting our troops away from home. May Brendan and all our service members return home safely.

Thank you again and God Bless our Troops,

Sincerely,

Jimmy Murphy

Dear Naomi,

Thank you for the donation of the $25 gift card for the Smiling Kids Annual Birthday Bash on October 22, 2005 at the Weston Golf Club. We are pleased to report that due to the generosity of so many; the evening was a great success. The Annual Birthday Bash raised over $74,000, which exceeded our goal.

100% of the money raised will be used to fund our Birthday Smiles program that will provide birthday presents to more than 2,000 children and teens in need throughout Massachusetts in 2006. Thanks to separate private contributions, all of the event and general operating costs for Smiling Kids Inc. are entirely subsidized.

Smiling Kids, Inc is an anonymous organization. The agencies and social service groups that we work with are responsible for identifying and delivering the birthday gifts to the families. The gift that o child receives comes from the parent or guardian; therefore, making Smiling Kids, Inca service as much for the parent as it is for the child.

We look forward to the opportunity to work with you next year. If you are interested in discovering other ways you and/or your organization can help these children please contact us at #508-486-9299 or visit us on the web at http://www.smilin~kidsinc.org.

Dear Bernie & Phyl:

As you know, the Saugus Public Library Foundation, in conjunction with the Saugus Business Partnership, the Friends of the Saugus Public Library, and the Saugus Chamber of Commerce, held its Third Annual Wine Tasting and Silent Auction on Saturday, October 15″. Our third effort was a huge success, attracting the largest crowd yet and raising much needed money to support the Library building needs, programs, services, and collections.

On behalf of the Foundation Board of Directors, Friends, Trustees, Staff, and Patrons, we would like to express our appreciation for your generosity and support for the Saugus Public Library. We are truly grateful for your wonderful donation of a $25.00 gift certificate for our Silent Auction. Your donation generated a great deal of interest. With your help, the Foundation raised approximately $10,000 in their ongoing efforts to support and enhance the Library.

We have posted signs in the Library thanking you and all of the wonderful supporters of this event and have sent a public thank you for publication in all the local newspapers. Your contribution really helped make the night a huge success, far exceeding our expectations. With the participation of so many area businesses, the Saugus Business Partnership, the Saugus Chamber of Commerce, Town Officials, Friends, and supporters, we are already looking ahead and planning next year’s event. We really appreciate the part you played in our successful fundraising efforts. Thank you again.

Sincerely,

Mary Rose Quinn,
