Dear Naomi:

On behalf of the Muscular Dystrophy Association of the Northshore and those we serve, I would like to thank you for your generous donation to the Black & Blue Ball to benefit MDA. With your help, this year’s event was once again a huge success.

Despite the weather, it was a fabulous evening filled with music provided by Tony Gallo Music, dancing, dining, and of course, bidding on all of the wonderful auction items! We really appreciate your help in making the Black & Blue Ball such a successful event.

Funds raised from the Black & Blue Ball support continued research, local health clinics, family support groups and our special children’s summer camp program. The Muscular Dystrophy Association covers 43 different neuromuscular diseases, including Duchenne muscular dystrophy (the most common form of muscular dystrophy in young boys), and Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS, more commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease).

Once again, on behalf of the entire Black & Blue Ball committee, we are grateful for your donation and look forward to having Bernie and Phyl’s Furniture represented at the Black & Blue Ball in 2005.

Sincerely,

Kim Logue
District Director
MDA Northshore

I extend heartfelt gratitude for your support

Dear Ms. Shore,

It is hard to believe that Thanksgiving is almost here. We at the Academy of Notre Dame are thankful for the many blessings we have received during this 150th Anniversary year of celebration.

Joy and excitement filled the Sheraton Ballroom at the Fifth Annual Auction. NDA, historically, has enjoyed solid support and successful auctions. An emotionally high and heartfelt auction this year raised over $70,000.

The Auction is one of the Academy’s many fund-raising events. You know how important your donations are to supporting students, recruiting and keeping faculty, maintaining athletic programs and furthering the ideals of learning and service that are central to a Notre Dame education.

On behalf of the Board of Directors, administration, faculty, staff, and students, I extend to you our heartfelt gratitude for you support. May the Good God continue to bless you and your family during the holiday season.

Sincerely

Sister Kathryn Lawrence McGuiggan,
SND L. President

Dear Naomi

On behalf of the North Shore Medical Center and The Birthplace at Salem Hospital, we thank you for donating a Gift Certificate for $50 for the Annual North Shore Medical Center Golf Classic rate.

On Monday, August 3rd it was a perfect day for golf; and more than 200 golfers participated in a fun filled day of golf; socializing, and friendly competition. This year’s proceeds will fund equipment for the North Shore Medical Center Birthplace to include: labor and delivery fetal monitors, antipartum monitors, telemetry monitors, and cardiac monitors for the Recovery Room. These advances would not be possible without your generosity.

Again, we are most grateful for your support.

Best wishes,

The NSMC Golf Classic Committee 2004

Re: 2nd Annual “Caring For Kids” 5K Road Race

Dear Naomi,

On behalf of the Road Race Committee, we want to thank you for the two gift certificates donated to the 2nd Annual “Caring For Kids” 5K Road Race held on October 17, 2004.

The event garnered some notably publicity this year. I have enclosed two articles describing the event. One article appeared on ww.coolrunning.com, a popular website geared towards runners. The second article is the race coverage provided by the Brockton Enterprise. In addition to the appearance of running legend, Bill Rodgers, the overall male winning time of 15:00 was impressive. We are so pleased to be able to introduce such high caliber running to the area while raising $3,000 for an important local cause, “Caring for Kids”.

The race was a huge success and we plan to build upon our success to make the race even bigger and better next year.

We very much appreciate your involvement in the event and look forward to working with you in the future.

Thanks again for your support and generosity.

Sincerely Yours,

Dr. Paul Schreiber
