Donation to Cheryl Chagnon Lymphoma Research Fund Inc.

On behalf of the Cheryl Chagnon Lymphoma Research Fund Inc., I would like to take to this opportunity to thank you for your generous contribution to this years Dinner For a Cure fundraiser that was held on April 17,2004 at the Natick Elks. The dinner was a huge success! Attended by over 200 guests we hosted an all you can eat pasta dinner with a silent auction, many raffle items and door prizes.

The dinner was attended by Dr.’s David Scadden and Ken Cohen of Massachusetts General Hospital Research Lab. We had the extraordinary opportunity of presenting them with a check in the amount of $23,000 accompanied by an anonymous donation of $3,000 for a combined donation of $26,000. Which was the amount needed to fund the second stage of trial with a PTH (parathyroid) hormone and it’s affect on ones own stem cell production.

Last year we donated $20,000 to Massachusetts General Hospital for the purchase of a Hemavet 850 multi species hematology system, used to analyze blood samples. Through this donation the research progressed in such an expedient manner allowing it to enter into the second stage of trial. It is truly a wonderful opportunity for our organization to provide this type of support that will benefit cancer patients in the greater Boston area. This would not have been possible without your support and generosity.

Our organization currently holds two fundraisers a year, our Dinner for a Cure and our participation as a team in the SBLI Falmouth Road Race held in August. Through these two events we hope to continue to raise awareness and funds for blood cancer and it’s research. We remain committed to helping improve cancer treatments and technology for those in our community who will battle cancer.

Thank you again for generosity and support.

Sincerely,

Cheryl Chagnon,
President

Thank you for participating in our annual NHPTV Spring Auction

Dear Donor,

Thank you for participating in our annual NHPTV Spring Auction. Thanks to donors like you, your local public television station is able to serve more than 500,000 families each week throughout our four-state viewing area. NHPTV proudly provides programs about NH, in depth and unbiased information about the region and the best programming that PBS has to offer.

The Auction Department has also improved the format of the certificates that we generate in-house. If you make use of our donor form as the certificate and have questions about these changes please feel free to contact us. The high bidder will redeem something that looks much more like a certificate than our old form.

As always, the donor form number on your receipt will match the high bidder’s certificate number. We think you’ll like the improvements and welcome your feedback!

High bidders who purchase certificates are encouraged to contact you promptly to redeem them and to honor the restrictions you have placed on the certificates. If a high bidder approaches you with any request you are uncomfortable with, please call the Auction office and we will be happy to assist you in any way we can.

If you would like to know how your donations sold, we’ll be glad to provide you with that information after June 20, 2004. When you call, please have your donation number available so we can quickly locate your information.

Again, thank you for participating in our Spring Auction. If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to call the Auction office. Your continued commitment to public broadcasting is very much appreciated.

Sincerely,

Cheryl Linskey, NHPTV
Auctions Operations Coordinator
