Dear Naomi,

Thanks so much for sponsoring the Yelle Elementary School Walk-A-Thon to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association. One hundred and fifty walkers enjoyed the sunny April afternoon and, with your help, raised over $8,000.

Your donation of a $25 gift certificate helps MDA provide diagnostic and follow-up care at our hospital-affiliated clinics, assistance with the purchase and repair of wheelchairs and leg braces, physical, occupational and respiratory therapy consultation, assistance with the purchase of communication devices, medical and scientific conferences, and much more. Other services provided by the Association that make life better for families MDA serves include support groups, loan closets, and MDA’s summer camp program for children.

Your support will also help the Association build upon the exhilarating research progress we’ve experienced in recent years and witness even more exciting developments in the near future.

Thanks again for your support of the Association’s life-changing programs.

Sincerely,

Wendy Trafton,
Program Coordinator

Dear Ms. Shore:

I am writing to thank you for your generous donation to the 2004 Newman School Auction of a Bernie & Phyl’s Furniture Gift Certificate valued at $25.

Thank you so much for letting your heart speak to the hearts of Newman students through your generous support of our Third Annual Auction. Proceeds of this year’s auction will support financial aid at Newman. Please know that YOUR KINDNESS WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE.

With best wishes to you and thanks for your thoughtfulness to The Newman School, I remain

Sincerely,

Together, we raised over $8,000 for innovative cancer research

Dear Naomi Shore:

After months of preparation for the marathon, race day has come and gone. Thanks to near record temperatures, I was able to enjoy the sights and sounds of the course for a lot longer than anticipated! As I endured the last few miles of the race, I desperately searched for some inspiration to carry me the rest of the way. It was at mile 25 when I saw the children from the Dana Farber Cancer Institute cheering me on with such enthusiasm and conviction. I stopped and gave each kid a “high five,” thought about all of you who supported Dana-Farber and me in this year’s marathon challenge, and I had all the inspiration I needed to finish!

Together, we raised over $8,000 for innovative cancer research. Perhaps next year we can do even better.

Thanks again for your donations, raffle gifts, support, and kindness.

Respectfully,

Kevin McCann

Dear Naomi,

On behalf of Boy Scour Troop 19 and Cub Scout Pack 19 both of Sacred Heart Parish, I wish to thank you for your generous donation to our third annual pancake breakfast fundraiser. Without the assistance of local area businesses and friends, we would not have been able to raise the funds necessary to support both scouting programs. With rising costs each year, it is a good feeling to know that we can always rely on the community for help and support. Your generosity is truly appreciated.

Sincerely,

Dear Mr. Rubin.

On behalf of Kennedy-Donovan Center, I am writing to thank you very much for your generous donation of a $50 gift certificate, which we received on 312412004. This item will certainly add interest to the silent auction at the 17th Founder’s Gala, on April 16, 2004.

Fundraising events like the Gala are one of the proven ways to preserve critical services benefiting infants, children and adults with unique challenges. State budget cuts have affected our resources again this year, and will likely continue. We appreciate the help of businesses and friends in the communities of KDC’s programs and services.

As you know, Kennedy-Donovan Center, a 501(c)(3) human service agency provides a wide range of direct and supportive services to 4,700 individuals and families with developmental disabilities throughout eastern and south central Massachusetts.

Kennedy-Donovan Center confirms that no goods or services were exchanged in consideration of this gift.

Thank you again for supporting KDC.

Sincerely,

Constance R. Anglin

Dear Ms. Shore:

On behalf of Old Colony Hospice, thank you for supporting our 6th Annual Memorial Walk, “Stepping Out For Hospice.” Your recent donation of a gift certificate valued at $50.00 and show of support will be great addition to this year’s walk.

On April 21,2004 we expect over 900 people will join us at the Raymond School in Brockton and continue on to the “Stepping Out” Walk through the scenic D. W. Field Park. The annual Walk is a terrific way for our communities to join with family members, OCH staff, along with corporate and community walk teams in raising awareness for hospice programs and services.

Your donation will be received with enthusiasm during the day, and I will list your business as a supporter in our Spring Newsletter. Along with the walk itself, our patrons will have a full day:

* Remembrance Banner,
* DJ, Kids Corner, Prizes &Awards, and
* Food & Raffles.

This year, Old Colony Hospice will provide highly skilled, compassionate care to over 660 patients and their loved ones. We care for patients with compassion and dignity in private homes as well as skilled nursing facilities. Donations such as yours help us bridge the gap between what we are paid by insurers and the true cost of providing care and medication during this most difficult phase of life.

Thank you for your support and for your involvement,

Marilyn A. Jackson
