Dear Bernie & Phyl,

Our “Partners in Prevention, a program of the MIAA” has been in existence for a little over a year. Our whole focus is to work cooperatively to assist young people to make healthy life choices.

Recently we formed an alliance with the “Partnership for a Drug Free America.” Our hope was to flood the media and therefore parents and students with anti-drug messages.

We are extremely grateful to you for your support. The ads that you selected were appropriate and meaningful. I am certain that they will have an impact. I hope that your support will continue because the drug problem is out of control in our state.

Enclosed is information about our partnership. If you have any questions or if you have further interest in our work please feel free to contact me at 508-541 -7997. Thank you.

Sincerely,

Michael J. Kane
Director of Student Services

Thank you for your generous contribution

To Whom It May Concern:

Everyone is struck by tragedy at some time in his or her life. At these times it is comforting to know that there are people who are willing to help in any way possible. Your donation or purchase of a ticket to the Parhiala Family Raffle enabled us to help with the cobra cost related to their medical Insurance.

Unfortunately, Peter succumbed to cancer and passed away a few days after the raffle drawing. Peter wanted you to know how grateful he was for the outpouring of love and support you shared with him and his family.

On behalf of the Parhiala Family and the critical care nurses of Lawrence General Hospital, we would like to thank you for your generous contribution. Words alone cannot express how much we appreciate what you have done for our co-worker, and her family.

Sincerely,

Patti DeRoche, RN

Bernie & Phyl’s Furniture supports Salvation Army

RE: The Salvation Army Harvest Festival Auction

Dear Friend:

Thank you for your part in supporting our initial auction after many years absence from our fall calendar.

Thanks to you, we enjoyed an overwhelming success. In great part due to your generosity, we more than doubled our hoped for goal.

We trust that this was a positive for you as well. We hope that you’ll help us again next year in our second annual auction.

Again, many thanks. Your act of kindness is being translated into helping actions through your Salvation Army.

MAY THE LORD BLESS YOU RICHLY!

Dear Friends:

It is my pleasure to thank you for your gift of $200 to the Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk. Your kind support is helping Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s physicians and scientists as they provide the best, most effective cancer care today while searching for the cures of tomorrow.

This year, nearly 7,000 walkers and volunteers joined together to help us meet our goal of raising $5 million to beat cancer. Like you, thousands of friends, family members, volunteers, and spectators cheered their efforts. We couldn’t do it without all of your support. Since 1989, the Walk has raised more than $26 million for the Jimmy Fund.

With your help, Dana-Farber has become a world leader in cancer care and research. Today, as science makes extraordinary advances, we are ever more hopeful that cancer will become a disease of the past. Thank you again for bringing a world without cancer one step closer.

Sincerely,

Edward J. Benz Jr., MD

Dear Naomi,

On behalf of Morton Hospital and Medical Center and the patients we serve, thank you so very much for your gift certificate for $50.00. This year, for the first time in 20 years, the hospital is undergoing a public Capital Campaign to raise funds to renovate and expand our Emergency Department, and several of our employees decided to organize a Masquerade Ball as their contribution to the fundraising effort.

When your Emergency Department was constructed 20 years ago, it was designed to accommodate 25,000 patients a year. Last year, we treated over 53,000 patients in our ED! The expansion and renovation of our Emergency Department will enable us to better care for those patients who turn to us for emergency services.

Again, thank you for your support of Morton Hospital and Medical Center.

Sincerely,

Dori Bingham
Associate Vice President, External Affairs
